Stage 1 TCU tune included with 2.9TT ECU tune
034 Motorsport stage 1 ZF8 TCU tuning software is included at no extra charge with 034 stage 1 or stage 1.5 B9 RS4/RS5 ECU tune. This is necessary to remove the torque limits within the TCU and is limited on features. We strongly recommend you pair all your ECU tunes with stage 2 TCU for the best driving experience.
034 Motorsport takes a holistic approcach to tuning. By bridging the gap the ECU will report torque values to the TCU to ensure that all safety systems are intact in both control units, and the added torque from tuning is properly adjusted for when driving/shifting, including all safety systems designed to protect the engine and transmission. This results in better shift quality as the transmission is not having to reduce engine torque or having to adapt to misreported inputs.
Stage 2 ZF8 TCU tune
034 Motorsport stage 2 transmission performance tuning software for the Al552 is designed to further improve drivability and performance. Stage 2 TCU software can be used with all stages of software. It can also be used on stock vehicles and vehicles fitted with OPF's.

034 Motorsport Stage 2 TCU Tuning further improves shifting performance and speed for casual and track driving in all driving modes. Dynamic+ Tuning also activates AMAX shifting to ensure the quickest and most efficient shifting strategies while launching your vehicle. These changes result in a significant improvement in acceleration, and lower 0-60 and ¼ mile times.

Within both the ECU and TCU, there are factory safety tables that limit overall torque output based upon what the factory first tuned the car for. The ECU reports the output of torque from the engine to the TCU, and the TCU decides if this is suitable, or too much. If it is too much, the TCU will command the ECU to reduce torque output based upon its safety tables.

034 Motorsport Dynamic+ Flash Kit
Dynamic+ end user flash kit allows customers to install ECU & TCU software upgrades themselves, from the comfort of their own driveway. Receive and install software updates and revisions, flash back to stock, or upgrade to the next stage of performance software from your vehicle's OBD2 port. This ECU flashing process is quick and easy, no technical skills are required.
Typical times to flash your TCU is under 20 minutes.
TCU Flashing Directions
- Receive welcome email (after purchase) with 034 software account and user guide
- Plug into OBD2 port and USB port on laptop & take read of stock ECU / TCU
- Send 034 stock file details from software (very easy)
- Plug back into OB2 port & USB and flash tune your ECU / TCU
Once you have taken the stock read of the ECU you can always flash your car back to stock at any time. You can also flash between stages.
The reading / flashing and software process is not complicated. Everything is straight forward and anyone who has the computer skills to send an email can do this process.

You can choose to have your vehicle remapped at Awesome GTI in Manchester UK. This includes free power runs. If you select this option you do not need to purchase the 034 end user flash kit. If you wish to remap your vehicle at home you need to select an option "with end user flash kit". If you already own a flash kit you can select "no flash kit required".
